Over 200 years and world-famous

Emmentaler AOP, which has been produced for over 200 years, is world-famous and Emmentaler AOP is produced in both organic and conventional quality at the Gohl cheese dairy. Production is based on the demanding Emmentaler Switzerland regulations and the Emmentaler AOP specifications. These specifications must be adhered to with the utmost precision every day so that the well-known Emmentaler cheese mark can be applied to the wheels.

The production of Emmentaler AOP places the highest demands on milk quality, hygiene and precision. Quite a few experts are certain that Emmentaler AOP production is the most difficult cheese production of all and accordingly the licensed Emmentaler cheesemakers are the greatest masters of their profession.
